Box Score Lady Marauders beat Tuskegee for fifth conference victory
With a dramatic five set victory over Tuskegee on Saturday, the Lady Marauders are one step closer to qualifying for the SIAC Tournament.
After dropping the first set 25-22, the Lady Marauders won the next two with scores of 25-21 and 25-18. CSU appeared to have control of the fourth set but TU battled back and eventually won, 28-26. CSU bounced back with a dominant performance in the deciding set, beating TU by a lopsided score of 15-6.
Freshman Michaela Powell led CSU with 15 kills. She also recorded 18. Senior Regine Harris led all players with 19 digs as the Lady Marauders picked up their fifth conference win of the season.
With a possibility of qualifying for the postseason, the Lady Marauders have two conference matches remaining against Kentucky State.
CSU returns home to host UC-Clermont on Thursday at 6 pm.
