Wilberforce, OH – Central State University's Homecoming game was much sweeter than their previous competitions this season
as the Marauders defeated the Miles College Golden Bears 25-21.

Central State finds its first SIAC win of the year and improves to 1-5 (1-2 SIAC) while Miles College falls to 2-3 (2-1 SIAC).

CSU Junior Tyrez Shipmon scored the first points of the game during the first quarter after returning a Miles College fumble for 28-yards.

The Golden Bears quarterback Demetrice Price led his team to a 76-yard drive resulting in a 3-yard rushing touchdown from the QB and tying the score 7-7. An interception by Central State quarterback Michael Wilson to Miles College cornerback Alexander Francois put Miles College up 14-7.

The Marauders would not leave the field before halftime without a fight. CSU Junior Priest Shuler forced his way into the end zone for an 11-yard score but the extra point was no good, 14-13.

CSU's offense went out of halftime picking up right where they left off when Wilson found Steven Heard on a 15-yard TD pass giving CSU the 19-14 lead. Wilson wasted no time on the following drive, scoring again in the end zone with a 3 yard quarterback keep, giving the Marauders an 11-point lead into the fourth quarter.

The Golden Bear offense managed a late fourth quarter rally attempt on a touchdown run by RB Denzel Veal score, improving the score to 25-21.
