T&F Weekend Recap: Â Central State's Lofton wins 100 meter hurdles to highlight weekend in Western Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Kentucky – Central State freshman
Amarianna Lofton picked up a win in to 100 meter hurdles to highlight CSU's weekend at the Western Kentucky Hilltopper Relays.

Lofton, a hurdler and jumper from Orlando, Florida, won the 100 meter hurdles with a pace of 15.22. Lofton also recorded a second place mark of 5.49m (18' 0.25") in the long jump and a fourth place finish in the high jump with a leap of 1.65m (5' 5'). Other notable performances by the CSU women included second place finishes by the relay team in both the 4 x 100 meter relay and 4 x 400 meter relay.
Jaylin Bradshaw finished second in the 400 meter dash (59.90).Â
Kapri Dawkins came in third place in the 200 meter dash (26.24).
Mariah Huston was third in the 3000 meter steeplechase (15:09.66) and Flo Omodayo had a fifth place mark in the triple jump (10.41m/34' 2").
The CSU men's efforts were highlighted by a win in the pole vault and strong performances in the relays.
Aden Fisher became the first CSU student-athlete in over a decade to win the pole vault with a mark of 3.75m (12' 3.5"). The CSU relay team finished in second in the 4 x 100m and third in the 4 x 400m.Â
Mitchell Jean Baptiste had a third place finish in the high jump (1.80m/5' 10.75") while Ras Cates came in third with a throw of 41.99m (137' 9") in the javelin.
