Central State University's Basketball Marauders takes another big step towards the “Trek to the Tournament” this weekend.
The Marauders face the University of the District of Columbia on the hardwood at CSU's Beacom/Lewis Gym Saturday, February 27. Game tip off is at 3pm.
This is another “must-win” matchup for the Marauders, who are one step closer to the NCAA Division II Tournament following Thursday night's victory over Urbana College (79:57).
In the NCAA's Midwest Region, only the top eight teams receive an automatic bid to the Tournament. At the end of a strong season, the Marauders are ranked sixth in the region.
Head Coach Doug Lewis is asking fans to turn out in force to support the Marauders Saturday. “We need to fill the gym with Gold & Maroon,” Coach Lewis said.
