Central State University Athletics

The Marauders capitalized on the Bulldogs miscues scoring an incredible 39 points off of turnovers.  Central State took good care of the basketball only committing 10 turnovers, tying a low for the season.

            The Marauders men’s basketball team traveled to Ohio Dominican University Wednesday night, riding a six game winning streak.  Coming off a victory in dramatic fashion against Kentucky State, the Marauders were looking for their seventh win in a row. 

Central State entered Saturday’s game on a five game win streak, while Kentucky State has not won five games all season.  Needless to say the Marauders were the clear favorites, on paper. 

There was collectively huge statement made by the Men’s and Women’s basketball teams on Saturday night and it went something like this… “THIS IS MARAUDER LAND”. In two crucial victories on their home floor both programs showed their resolve, poise, and their will to fight for 40 minutes. The standing room only atmosphere inside Beacom/Lewis Gymnasium was electric and the Marauder crowd was awesome.
